The power of democracy at schools

On the occasion of Children's Rights Day (20th November) our students have carried out different activities within the eTwinning Project "The Power of Democracy at Schools". One of them has been the creation of animations about children's rights with the web tool Voki . It is an application that allows the creation of animated characters in order to use them in the classroom as an effective communication tool.  To do the activity, the students read the Convention on the Rights of the Child and chose the article they would animate. In the last weeks the pupils of 6th B have participated in transnational groups to study the symbols of the countries participating in our eTwinning project "The Power of Democracy at Schools". The countries under study with the symbol to be studied are the following: Bulgaria: Flag. Italy: Language. Poland: Capital and currency. Turkey: Anthem. In our case we have used google presentations and documents that have allowed us to work collaboratively . The final product of the Spanish team of the City of Merida is shown below.
